Originally launched during the height of mini-figure mania, Army Ants was Hasbro’s answer to other battle-ready micro toy lines like M.U.S.C.L.E. and Battle Beasts. What made it stand out? Each ant came in one of two color-coded armies—Blue Alpha Force or Orange Bravo—and featured an exaggerated cartoon design complete with names, ranks, and outlandish weaponry. Though the line was short-lived in the U.S., its cult following and international variants made it a cherished gem of 80s toy history.
