Step into the zany world of 1980s animated mischief with this Mint-On-Card Mr. Sleaze with Foofoo Dog figure, part of Kenner’s brilliantly absurd Police Academy toy line based on the cult-favorite animated series.
Released in 1989, Mr. Sleaze was the slick-talking, suit-wearing hustler who often relied on his deceptively cute poodle companion, Foofoo, to do his dirty work. This vintage figure features a unique action gimmick: “Hands go up! Tie flips into gasser gun,” straight from the cartoon’s exaggerated antics. Included are two Foofoo figures (standing and leaping pose), and a gas-spewing leash weapon—proof that Kenner never held back when it came to creativity in the late ’80s.
Trivia Bite:
Did you know that the Police Academy cartoon was originally pitched as a way to make the raunchy movie franchise more kid-friendly? While Mr. Sleaze was never explicitly featured in the original Police Academy movies, his character was heavily inspired by the smug parking-lot customer whom Mahoney had a run-in with in the very first film—a scuffle that set off the chain of events leading to Mahoney’s forced enrollment at the academy. The cartoon reimagined that brief moment into a full-blown recurring villain, complete with sidekick dog and gag gadgets.
