In 1987, Hasbro launched the Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light toyline, a bold new concept set on the world of Prysmos—where the age of technology had abruptly ended and magic had returned to reign supreme. This inventive series centered on two opposing factions, the heroic Spectral Knights and the villainous Darkling Lords, who wielded magical staffs adorned with holographic emblems symbolizing their mystical animal totems.

About Arzon:

A distinguished member of the Spectral Knights, Arzon was depicted as a thoughtful strategist and philosopher. His totem animal, the eagle, signified insight and clarity, reflecting his knack for level-headed reasoning and measured decision-making. Arzon’s figure, like others in the line, featured a dynamic holographic chest plate and staff, bringing the concept of holographic magic to life in vibrant three-dimensional detail.

The Cartoon Series:

Accompanying the toys was a short-lived yet memorable Visionaries cartoon that premiered in 1987. Animated by Sunbow Productions, the show brought Prysmos to life in a series of 13 episodes that intertwined heroism, mysticism, and moral lessons. Fans followed the Spectral Knights and Darkling Lords as they vied for control in a world powered not by circuitry and steel, but by arcane forces and the strength of character. In the midst of grand adventures, Arzon’s wisdom and integrity shone through—qualities that made him a standout figure in this inventive and beloved slice of 1980s pop culture.
