The adventures of Lion-O and his companions on Third Earth, battling the evil Mumm-Ra, defined the childhoods of an entire generation, cementing the Sword of Omens as one of the most iconic weapons in pop culture history.

Issue Summary: "Survival Run!" This first issue adapts the legendary pilot episode, detailing the destruction of the planet Thundera. It follows the escape of the noble ThunderCats—Lion-O, Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, WilyKit, WilyKat, and Snarf—as they flee their dying homeworld. Pursued by the Mutants of Plun-Darr, they crash-land on Third Earth, where Lion-O must quickly grow into his role as Lord of the ThunderCats and face the ancient evil of Mumm-Ra for the first time.
