The Origin: Before it was the "Party Wagon," this vehicle was actually a high-tech van owned by the mad scientist Baxter Stockman!

The Upgrade: In the classic 1987 TV series, the Turtles "borrowed" (okay, stole) the van from Stockman to fight Shredder. Donatello then spent his downtime retrofitting it with armor, blasters, and that classic yellow-and-green paint job to turn it into the Battle Shell we know today.

First Appearance: The van made its debut in Season 1, Episode 3 ("A Thing About Rats"), but officially became the "Turtle Van" in Episode 4 ("Hot Rodding Teenagers from Dimension X").
